About the Designers

As the designer and owner of Enchanting Lair - my home for the last 30 years has been in North Bay, Ontario, CANADA. North Bay is a lovely town of 54,000 with two lakes, with all 4 seasons - and yes it is true - there is a lot of snow in the winter, but a great place to vacation !
As an avid stitcher for many years,  I have stitched every form of needlecraft.

Over the years, there have been many designs that I have done from the simplest to the most intricate , but always found that I could never find that one specific design I wanted to do.  Favorites have been many, but Mirabilia and her Mermaids will remain one my favorites - but without more of that one special design to stitch - Enchanting Lair was born!

My daughter took on the role of designer back when she was  pregnant with my lovely grand-daughter.  Her designs are simple but make a statement.  What I found interesting is that she totally designed and stitched with no experience, it was not a past time that she did with her mother.  To make what she has done so special was that one of her first designs would end up on the cover of one of the popular Cross Stitch Magazines - what an accomplishment!
